FIFA solidarity and training compensation: why youth development matters

FIFA's solidarity mechanism and training compensation are designed to reward the clubs that invest in a player's development long before he becomes marketable. When a player transfers internationally before the end of his 23rd birthday, his training clubs receive a share. When he moves after 23, solidarity contributions still flow to every club involved in his development between the ages of 12 and 23.
For young players and their families, these rules matter because they connect individual success to the ecosystem that produced it. A well-documented career history is not just useful for visas and scouting; it becomes the basis for legitimate financial recognition across borders.
At FUTURO we make sure development pathways are recorded accurately from the start. Clarity today prevents disputes tomorrow and protects the interests of both the player and the clubs that shaped him.
